BASKETBALL SEASON 2024-2025

Basketball Season Dates

California Home School Sports Basketball Season starts November 2024 and continues through March 2025.

Team Placement Practices 

Players need to be at both practices to determine which team they will be playing on.

We call this first week of practices "tryouts" or "team placement practices."

No practice Thanksgiving week. Resume regular practices December 3rd and December 5th

A game schedule will be available at the beginning of the New Year.

March Gladness Tournament

Our Annual California Basketball Tournament is hosted by Christian Heritage Basketball and is for all age divisions.

Dates: March 19th-22nd 

Families that participate in basketball for CHS Sports need to save these dates and make their children available for tournament games during the day and evening.

 *Game Uniforms must be returned to CHSS at the end of the season.  If uniforms are not returned or damaged, there will be a replacement charge.

Basketball Shoes (No Black Sole shoes on gym floors)

Freshman, JV and Varsity - Shooting Shirt ($15.00)

Sports Bag (recommended)

Refund Policy

Refunds will not be given after the first week of practice.

Homeschool Eligibility

All players on every team must be home-schooled at least 51% of the time.

Parent Volunteers

Each team will need volunteers to help with keeping score, running the time clock, team moms, etc.  Please let us know how you can help your athletes' teams by emailing ChristianHeritageKnights@Gmail.com. As the hosting team, all CHS families are required to participate in hosting the March Gladness Tournament. We will have opportunities for each family to choose how they can help with the tournament.

Important Information

Many children will be coming to practice, so please drive slowly and be careful in the parking lots. Do not park in the handicap spots to drop off or pick up, the handicap drivers need those spaces. 

If you choose to not stay to watch practice, do not just drop off your child/children and leave. Make sure a coach is on your child’s practice court. 

We are not a babysitting service; pick up your child/children promptly after practice ends. 

Please keep the courts and gyms clean and always use a trashcan. We get to use these facilities and we would hate to lose them.
